Prior to making a commitment to purchase your new home, we will provide you with all the information you will reasonably need, along with an indication of when your home will be completed. We will give you a broad indication during the early stages of build, giving you a reliable, final completion date as soon as possible. However, we hope you will understand that this will always be subject to the vagaries of the weather and other such matters outwith our reasonable control; we will always inform you in the event of a delay caused by matters outwith our control.

Where relevant we will also introduce you to our customer choices service which allows you to personalise various aspects of your property, depending on the stage of construction when you reserve your home.

From reservation onwards, we will keep you regularly advised of the progress of your home, answering any questions or concerns you may have.

During the construction of your home we will advise you of the final purchase process. A member of Mercat Cross team, normally the architect, will also carry out a final quality check to ensure that your home meets our high standards. We will also invite you to a demonstration meeting where we will show you how to operate and maintain your new home.

On the date of entry, we will meet you at your new home with your keys and ensure that you are clear about your point of contact in the future. Naturally, we aim to hand over your home in perfect order. However, you may notice minor defects which have regretfully been missed by our thorough inspection process. In this case, we will work hard to rectify any problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.

And last but not least, we will give you 10 year New Home Warranty cover.
